Arnold Simson is IBM Australia’s Cloud CISO responsible for the compliance of IBM Cloud services with the Australian security and privacy standards.  He is a member of IBM’s global cloud security architecture and compliance team and provides advice to IBM’s clients on cloud security strategies and best practice. 
Prior to this Arnold has been a trusted advisor to the Australian Taxation Office and the Department of Home Affairs providing architectural guidance on service orientated architectures, eCommerce, blockchain, AI and cloud services.  Arnold has an extensive background working across the Financial Services, Healthcare, Government and Defence sectors consulting in IT architecture and cyber security.  As an Army officer, Arnold established the Australian Army’s IT security compliance and training programs and core security standards.  He has also developed security testing services and security consulting practices and has filled senior management, business development, architectural roles with a focus on information management, architecture and cyber security.
