I served 13 years in the Australian Regular Army in a range of roles including Royal Australian Armoured Corps and the Australian Intelligence Corps. I have served tactical and operational level in the field while deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan and served at the operational and strategic intelligence appointments as an Army Captain within Headquarters Joint Operations Command and the Defence Intelligence Organisation. In 2017 I commenced my role in Cyber Intelligence with the Department of Human Services, now known as Services Australia, and since then have been responsible for managing and developing the cyber intelligence capability for the Cyber Division. I have raised and mentored teams to provide 24/7/365 cyber intelligence support to cyber security operations, Incident Response management and strategic decision makers. In 2019 I received the Cyber Services Division’s first ever AUSTRALIA DAY AWARD to the Public Service for my achievements. My current focus is to grow, prepare and enable a ‘whole-of-government’ Cyber Intelligence capability to serve the strategic interests of the Agency and partnered organisations while still providing tactical threat intelligence support to day-to-day operations.
