Serving both the fibre optic and power cable sectors, the company has expertise in telecommunications, power utility, oil and gas and renewables markets. SBSS was established in 1995 in Shanghai and has delivered over 130 projects worldwide. 

SBSS’s current fleet consists of three DP2 cable lay vessels, Fu Tai, CS Fu Hai and Bold Maverick, fully equipped with state-of-the-art cable ploughs and trenching ROVs and one cable lay barge, Fu Yong 6, equipped with 5,500t carousel and 3.3m burial sledge. SBSS also owns and manages the only custom-bonded commercial submarine cable depot in mainland China.
