Steve Holden, Executive Committee, ICPC & Head of Maintenance Americas, Europe and Africa, GMSL

Steve Holden has over 39 years of experience in the Submarine and Telecommunications industries covering numerous shore and marine based roles; firstly, at Cable & Wireless (Marine) then Colt (Ex-Lumen/L3) and more recently at Global Marine where, as the company’s Head of Maintenance for the Americas, Europe and Africa., his role involves managing all operational and commercial matters relating to the companies ACMA & NAZ Agreements.  Additionally, Steve represents Global Marine with respect to all aspects of offshore liaison and presently serves on the EC of the ICPC, ESCA and is the company representative on NASCA.  Having spent nearly a decade on-board both installation and maintenance vessels and many years ashore planning and managing repairs as well as running Cable & Wireless’s global cable depots he has a sound understanding of all operational subsea matters.  This combined with a 10-year spell as a cable developer, installer, and operator whilst at Level 3 gives Steve a unique understanding of the challenges facing both cable owners and cable ship operators.
