Ziyad is the vice president of Business at Saudi Payments, where he is responsible for Business Development & Operation, Sales & Relationship Management, and Marketing. His department is considered to be the engine behind Saudi Payments commitment in creating and fostering long-term relationships and deliver long-term benefits to the business. In the past 3 years, Ziyad has held several leading positons within the organization spanning from business development, to sales and marketing. He has over thirteen years’ experience in the payments industry both within the national payment scheme and the banking sector. He started his career in payments with Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) in 2007 and has since served in various positions with local banks in the Kingdom including Alrajhi bank and Saudi Investment Bank. Ziyad leads a team of seasoned professionals that look after Strategic partnerships and initiatives Product development and deployment throughout the Payments landscape within the Kingdom. During the previous few years with Saudi Payments both Mada and SADAD has witnessed tremendous growth coupled with new and innovative products and solutions such as the launch of Mada Pay & Apple Pay, and the launch of eCommerce initiative. Most notable contribution Ziyad and his team achieved, is the growth in Mada transaction volume where Mada cardholders used their Mada cards at over 390,000 POS terminals, where Mada POS volume reached over 1 Billion transactions in 2018 and estimated to reach 1.5 Billion by the end of 2019.
