Richard Sendi, Head, Planning And Strategy Sgr Project, Ministry of Works and Transport, Uganda

Richard Sendi is the Head of Planning and Strategy at the Standard Gauge Railway Project – Ministry of Works and Transport in Uganda since may 2015. He worked as a Senior Policy Analyst at the Ministry of Works and Transport from September 2011 and as a Lecturer/Head of Department at Cavendish University Uganda before then. In his current position, he is responsible for Strategic Planning and Programming, Developing Policies and Strategies 
for Rail Transport Development and Management, Preparing and/or reviewing Feasibility   Studies and Business Cases for Projects, Managing and Undertaking Economic Research Work on Financing, Modelling, Regulation, Forecasting, Local Content and advising on Pro-poor and Transit/Cargo Oriented Transport Development,  developing Monitoring and Evaluation Frameworks and Project Coordination at National and Regional Levels. 
He is currently pursuing his PhD in Economics (ABD) at Makerere University and is a holder of an MA Transport Economics (University of Leeds, UK 2014)

Global Project Roundtables
