Marcial studied Engineering and started his career in Transport Consultancy. In 2011 Marcial joined the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London as responsible of the agenda on sustainable transport and climate change in the transport sector. In 2017 he joined the European Investment Bank as Transport Economist in the Strategic Railways Division, contributing to project development and financing throughout all stages of the project cycle. As part of his role, he contributes to upstream or policy advice on horizontal matters including EU legislation on railways, innovative technologies and climate finance.
