Mr. Janne Hauta, Ministerial Adviser, Data Department, Data Business Unit of the Finnish Ministry of Transport and Communications. The Unit promotes the use of data and intelligent automation in all modes of transport. The main responsibilities lie within the regulatory matters on national, EU and international level. 

Due to the digitalisation process, the transport sector is globally in a state of revolution. In the future, user-friendly services carried out through data and automation will be at the centre of transport policy. The legislation can be used as a tool to catalyse these developments, as in the new Finnish Act on Transport Services.

Railways needs own digitalisation leap and mind setting should turn more to get reply, how we are able to answer to final users (both passengers and shippers) needs and expectations?
