Gino Pfister (male) is one of two managing partners of ecco-rail GmbH. He got his first experiences in the railway industry in a forwarding company which specialized in railway transports. After 3 years he moved on to ecco-rail were he became the first employee and was tasked to work on the team which was responsible to obtain all the necessary certificates and licenses for ecco-rail to be able to operate its own cargo trains. After ecco-rail successfully obtained the license in Austria he moved on to build up the planning and operations department with a focus on customer satisfaction as he was also deeply involved in the first projects which were obtained by the company. After having successfully having built up a 24/7/365 operations center, he left ecco-rail to found his own company, twentyone GmbH. After obtaining his license as a dangerous goods safety advisor, he started to offer this and other services to various companies including ecco-rail Austria and the newly incorporated ecco-rail Germany. He was contracted again by ecco-rail to build up a 24/7/365 operations center, this time in Germany and followed his involvement in this company after being offered shares and a position as managing partner, which he started in January 2016. Soon after he started his new position he began to obtain new customers, new businesses and became an integral part of ecco-rail’s continued growth. From 2015 to 2018 he also worked on the EU funded Smartrail project which was part of H2020.
