Daniel Vaughan, Head of Metrolink, Transport for Greater Manchester TfGM

Danny is an expert in Light Rail Engineering, Asset Management and Operations.  He has worked on projects in Australia, Ireland and the UK in consulting, public sector and private sector organisations.
While primarily focussed on delivering excellence in Operations, Asset Management and Customer Service, Danny has spent most of his career introducing new light rail and tram infrastructure projects into passenger service.  

Danny has spent the last number of years in TfGM leading Metrolink through a significant phase of expansion and transformation.  He is overseeing changes to the Metrolink business such as the introduction of a new Operator - Keolis Amey, improvements in performance, passenger experience and the extension of the network.

Danny takes an active part in leading industry bodies such as the UITP Light Rail Committee and UK Tram, where he is Chair of the UK Tram Owners and Authorities Group.
