Alberto Alonso, Head Of Bim - Infrastructure Dept, IDOM

Alberto Alonso is a civil engineer graduated after completing his university studies in Madrid and Porto. In addition, he studied the BIM Management Master of BIM Management at IDESIE business school in Madrid.

Alberto has relevant and international experience having worked on BIM projects in different countries such as Qatar, United Kingdom, Ireland and the Baltic countries. This experience, along with the variety of types of projects, such as metro lines, roads, stadiums or buildings, has allowed him to know first-hand how the use of BIM is being applied in different parts around the world.

Alberto is currently Head of BIM in the Infrastructure department of IDOM, where he is responsible for leading the implementation of BIM in the department based on protocols and recommendations of ISO 19650, as well as BIM management in various projects and development, along with his team, of different manuals and supporting documents.

Alberto Alonso es ingeniero civil graduado tras completar sus estudios universitarios en Madrid y Oporto. Además, estudió el máster de BIM Management en la escuela de negocios IDESIE en Madrid.

Alberto posee una relevante experiencia internacional habiendo trabajado en proyectos BIM en distintos países como Qatar, Reino Unido, Irlanda y los países bálticos. Esta experiencia, junto con la variedad de tipologías de proyectos, tales como líneas de metro, carreteras, estadios o edificación, le han permitido conocer de primera mano cómo el uso de BIM se está aplicando en distintas partes del mundo.

Actualmente Alberto es el responsable de BIM en el departamento de infraestructuras de IDOM, donde se encarga de liderar la implantación del BIM en el departamento basándose en protocolos y recomendaciones de la ISO 19650, así como la gestión BIM en diversos proyectos y la elaboración, junto con su equipo, de distinto manuales y documentos de apoyo.
