Born in Barcelona in 1961. Civil Engineer (Specialist in Water and Power) from the Polytechnic University of Barcelona in 1985.
From 1985-1990 he works as a civil engineer in private consultancy, specializing in railway projects.
From 1991 he began his career in Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya, first as Head of Fixed Installations. Promoted to Director of Operations in 1996 and, since 2000, Director of Exploitation (with full responsibility for rail operations and Maintenance). Director of Development and Planning since 2007. Appointed in 2011 Director of Infrastructure FGC, with full responsibility for the maintenance of infrastructure, facilities and rolling stock. Since 2012 he is also Director of FGC International.
President of the Assembly of Regional and Suburban Railways of the International Union of Public Transport (UITP) between 2001 and 2005.
Vice President of the International Union of Public Transport (UITP) from May 2001. Currently Honorary Vice Chairman of this institution.
President of the Railgrup R+D+I Committee since 2015.
