More than 100,000 Spanish Industrial Engineers are represented by the General Council (CGCOII), through 21 regional organizations.
Born as a profession with the first industrial revolution, and parallel to the changes of the rail industry throughout the decades, so has the work of industrial engineers changed. As processes have transformed, new energy sources developed, and production of goods and services changed, also have industrial engineers evolved as professionals.
Today’s industrial engineers are in the core of the new Digital and Energy Transformations. The need to shape the future can be fulfilled by professionals with a multidisciplinary profile, great versatility, analytical skills, strategic vision, proactivity and adaptation to change.
The CGCOII assumes the representation, defence and fostering of Industrial Engineers as key to social and economic progress in their fields of activities.
