To say that the The Kuala Lumpur–Singapore high-speed rail (HSR) has experienced a bumpy start is an understatement. First discussed in the late 1990s, it's fair to say the project has faced many false starts, mainly due to the high costs required by such a vast, cross-country project.
A new change of government in Malaysia has recently given a new boost to the project, with an exciting announcement being made on 5 September 2018 to declare that the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail Operations will start on January 2031.
Mark Loader, Project Group Director, MyHSR Corporation in Malaysia,
will join us at Rail Live! on 5-7 March 2019 to discuss what this impressive project entails, the challenges that lie ahead and the new strategies that are being developed and implemented to overcome them.
