Mr. Yuri Barros Zulaica studied Engineering at the Alfonso X el Sabio University and holds a Master’s in Finance and Accounting Management at the Rey Juan Carlos University. He was involved in several industrial projects that include project management in communications on mining operations, designing projects in chemical plants and security processes in critical facilities.
He was recruited by Telefonica 4 years ago and started designing projects to provide response to multiple bidding process in the Critical Facilities Protection. After some months and some designs regarding this kind of facilities, he was involved in the Metro de Quito project as Technical Director of the Telefonica side, that include the whole Telecommunications system that provides service to the Operation of the Metro, the Station Control System of the whole line and the Central Control Site where all the Operation will be managed. He moved to Quito and start working on this amazing project trying to develop new solutions to build a Smart Metro for the city of Quito
