Matthew Hanchard, Research Fellow, University of Sheffield

Dr. Matthew S. Hanchard is a science and technology studies (STS) scholar based at the University of Sheffield (UK). He is known for socialogical work around data, digital society, changing cultures of cultural consumption, research methodology, and analyses of pharmaceutical sector pricing strategies. He has authored two books (one sole authored, one co-authored) fifteen peer-reviewed articles, and has spoken at numerous events and conferences worldwide. His current work examines challenges around orphan drug access and pricing, and approaches to increase patient voice in real-world evidence.
