As a pioneer of boutique hotels in Thailand and the creative force behind AHMS The Collection, Anchalika Kijkanakorn holds fast to her vision of boutique hospitality founded on attention to detail, unique experiences and highly personalised yet unobtrusive service.

AHMS The Collection comprises AKARYN Samui Resort & Spa and akyra Chura Samui, as well as Aleenta Phuket-Phang Nga and Aleenta Hua Hin-Pranburi, her original resort, launched on the site of her family’s original beach home in 2003.

Two more eagerly awaited resorts are set to open by 2015; akyra Manor Chiang Mai, a collaboration with Singapore's cutting-edge Manor Studio, and on a private island in Cambodia, AKARYN Koh Krabeay Retreat & Spa, which sees Anchalika team up with design legend Kenzo to create something truly special. 

Anchalika, who has two young sons, is also Chairman of Small Luxury Hotels of the World – the first Asian and the first woman to hold the position. She believes above all in creating experiences for her guests that form emotional connections and fond memories.

She is also passionate about sustainability and through Pure Blue Foundation she has run successful programmes such as protecting and nurturing endangered turtle species, coral restoration, local school scholarship initiatives and organic farming.

Before entering the hospitality industry, she held various leadership roles in the finance sector, managing teams across Asia, Europe and the Unites States with global financial giants GE Capital. Through AHMS The Collection she continues to push boundaries, raise standards and break new ground.
