Rotolatch™ is a technology startup that has developed a latch and hook system that engages and disengages without active actuation. A simple vertical reciprocating motion by a robot will securely latch a payload for transport. The same vertical motion at a target destination will immediately unlatch the payload. The Rotolatch™ offers a fast, inexpensive, reliable, and repeatable automated delivery loop. Notably, the Rotolatch™ can easily be integrated into existing delivery drone fleets to not only securely deliver packages, but immediately and autonomously load their next delivery without any secondary robotics.
