Shubh (Shubhlakhan) Dhillon is a Senior Scientist at Merck with over a decade of experience in drug discovery, specializing in laboratory automation and the development of high-throughput cell-based and biochemical assays. Throughout her career, she has played a key role in advancing drug discovery programs by leveraging high-content imaging and phenotypic screening platforms. She has extensive experience in engineering and validating robust assays to support projects in ophthalmology, immunology and oncology. A core focus of her work involves implementing and optimizing automation solutions to enhance data quality, reproducibility, and efficiency in the lab. This includes developing fully automated workflows for high-throughput screening, from compound profiling to hit validation. A dedicated leader and collaborator, Shubhlakhan has a strong track record of training fellow scientists on complex instrumentation and new workflows. She is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, actively participating in mentorship programs and employee resource groups.  She holds a Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Punjabi University.
