Our group company Nagase Viita was founded as a starch syrup manufacturer in 1883 and has grown into a company with strong research and development expertise. They were the pioneer in enzyme technology to manufacture Trehalose on industrial scale commonly used during lyophilization to stabilize not only antibodies but also wide range of biological materials including proteins, nucleotides and exosomes. Nagase Viita is the only global supplier of injectable grade Trehalose manufactured from starch. High quality Oligosaccharide manufacturing is a key competence.

Their relentless efforts in sustainable practices have led to a high rating in the sustainability survey by EcoVadis, an International evaluation agency in France.
