Acoerela

Startup

Acoerela is an early-stage spinoff startup from the National University of Singapore. It has developed a novel fluorogenic dye technology called Conjugated Oligoelectrolytes (COEs) that finds application in Extracellular Vesicle (EV) research, In Vivo Tumor Tracking, Bacteria Gram-Typing and Cell Staining. Acoerela Dyes are the World's First Full Bilayer Spanning Lipophilic Dyes. These optical probes are water soluble and very specific and thus, do not form micelles or aggregates significantly reducing background noise and false positives. Acoerela aims to solve existing challenges in EV characterization, Quality Control, Diagnostics and Therapeutics.
