Allyson Capili, Scientist, Amgen

Allyson is currently a Process Development Scientist at Amgen. Presently, she conducts cell based and immune assays to understand CQAs impact immunogenicity. She serves as an Immunogenicity and Flow Cytometry subject matter expert supporting Amgen pipelines, products, and patients. Prior to her time at Amgen, Allyson received her BSc in Molecular and Cell Development from UC Santa Cruz – where she began her research career in the area of macrophage biology within the innate immune system. She then served as a clinical researcher at Weill Cornell Medical College investigating mitochondrial dysfunction in lung and kidney fibrosis. Following her time at WCMC, Allyson moved to Columbia Irving Medical Center where she ran the Flow Cytometry and Microscopy core for the Department of Microbiology and Immunology.

Festival of Biologics Day 2 @ 15:30

Using In Vitro Tools to Assess the Potential Immune Impact of Biotherapeutic Attributes

  • Quality by Design (QbD) principles strategically drive quality into the drug product from the beginning
  • Multiple predictive model systems can be used to study the potential impact of critical quality attributes of biotherapeutics
  • Two case studies to show the potential impact and behavior of CQAs.
