Dr. John Maga is a Senior Scientist in the Purification Process Development group at BioMarin.  He received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Purdue University and performed postdoctoral research at the Seattle Biomedical Research Institute before joining two successful start-up biotech companies in the Midwest, Symbiontics and ZyStor Therapeutics. The protein targeting technologies developed at these companies were acquired by BioMarin, where John currently develops large-scale purification processes for recombinant protein therapeutics.
