Omar is currently the GM of Sales and Business Development for Ciena in Saudi Arabia. Prior to that he was the GM of Wholesale at Mobily, GM of Sales at Calix, and Strategic Account Manager at Cisco. He started his carrier in Ottawa Canada as Software engineer in Nortel/Ciena labs.

Omar is also a Board Member in few innovative Canadian AI startups focusing on uses cases such as e-commerce demand generation, UCaaS/CCaaS, and AgriTech. He is also a board advisor in Saudi Arabia's merging software Quality Company, TestCrew. One of these companies (GoTrellis.com) was ranked among Ottawa’s fastest growing companies and ‘The next big thing’. 

Omar holds B. Eng from Carleton University and an MBA from Ottawa University in Canada.
