Dr. Osvaldo Gonsa is the Head of the Advanced Connectivity Technologies group by Continental AG in Frankfurt, Germany. He has a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Yokohama National University in Japan (1999) and holds an MBA from Kempten School of Business in Germany (2012). Dr. Gonsa has a long carrier with telecom equipment manufacturers and operators, and worked in research and standardization in the areas of core and radio access network. He is holder of numerous patents and is co-author of several books. Since 2015, Dr. Gonsa leads Continental’s effort in the area of mobile communications for Connected Car and Autonomous Driving where he also has had a role as advisor to the German Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy for the "Digitale Technologien für die Wirstschaft (PAiCE)" projects, and currently serves as member of the GSMA Advisory Board for automotive and the 6GKom project of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
