Sara Budge | Programme Director
Digital Scotland Superfast Broadband

Sara Budge, Programme Director, Digital Scotland Superfast Broadband

Sara Budge is Programme Director for Digital Scotland Superfast Broadband and is currently on secondment from Scottish Enterprise.

Over 30 years ICT industry experience in strategy, commercial and programme management and leadership  has equipped her to successfully lead the Digital Scotland Superfast Broadband programme.

The programme is one of the largest infrastructure projects in Europe and Sara’s strong leadership skills have come into play over the last four and half years. The £428M programme has been designed to ensure that over 95% of the country now has access to fibre broadband (thanks to the programme and commercial coverage). Without the programme coverage would be a mere 66% and in fact in some rural areas such as Aberdeenshire would have only been just 22%.

When she is not at work, Sara enjoys nothing more than being up a mountain either on foot or on a  pair of skis.
