Bob Knight is both a broadband industry professional and public official. He is the President & CEO of Harrison Edwards, a leading broadband marketing agency and is widely considered the nation’s leading expert in community and stakeholder engagement and take rate building for fiber-broadband projects. In the public sector, Bob is serving his seventh term as a Commissioner of Economic & Community Development, Town of Ridgefield, Connecticut and is helping to oversee the town’s fiber project.
He is the Board Secretary for the American Association for Public Broadband, a co-chair for the Public Officials Committee of the Fiber Broadband Association in Washington, DC, and a 2023 Chairman of the Broadband Communities Summit in Houston, TX. In 2021, Bob participated in a meeting with the White House on funding broadband deployments.
Earlier in his career, Bob was a top-rated radio air personality and programmer. Notably, in 2000, he replaced Ryan Seacrest at K101 in San Francisco, then served as Director of Operations and Programming for NextMedia Chicago where he co-hosted “The Morning Beat with Jeff and Bobby.”
