Prof. Saeed Amal is a Research Professor in Bioengineering at Northeastern University and affiliated with the Roux Institute. He is
a visiting professor at Harvard Medical School. Prof. Amal won the National Academy of Inventors Award of " Emerging Visionary Award in AI for Health". Prof. Amal is leading the Amal Lab for Precision Medicine. He did his postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine—where he worked on developing advanced AI models to cardiovascular disease. Previously, he was VP of R&D at a medical data startup. His research focuses on developing innovative artificial intelligence, deep learning, image/natural
language processing, and multimodal data to improve healthcare, especially cancer and cardiovascular disease and diabetes detection
and treatment.
