Dr Sandra Esteves (member of the REA and ADBA) – Director of the Wales Centre of Excellence for Anaerobic Digestion, Sustainable Environment Research Centre, University of South Wales. Sandra has over 18 years’ experience in biotechnology. Sandra directs the Wales Centre of Excellence for Anaerobic Digestion, a centre which acts as a process development platform and delivers industrial focused R&D. R&D efforts focus on development of novel processes and products, new integrations, plant design, monitoring/optimisation as well as knowledge transfer. Sandra is also conducting research in biogas upgrading, power to gas conversions, microbial ecology, digestate processing, bioprocess integration and biorefinery systems.
