Susie Peterson began her Southwest Airlines career in Ground Operations, holding various positions in the system before her career path took her to Southwest’s Headquarters in Dallas. From there, Susie climbed quickly up the Leadership ranks in her 22 year career, serving as the Supervisor Airport Performance Improvement, Senior Manager Airport Performance Improvement, Change Leader in Strategic Planning and Implementation, Director of Strategy in Cabin Services, Director of Innovation and Design, Senior Director of Planning in Network Operations Control (NOC) and currently the Senior Director of Sales Operations. The NOC is Southwest Airlines’ world-class operations center that functions as the “heart” for major operational decisions and coordination and operates 24/7 to keep the airline’s 4,000 daily flights running. In her Leadership Role within the NOC, Susie is responsible for the direction of and focus on operational needs relative to the future organizational state, processes, capabilities, and skill sets within the department. Susie was asked to start the Operations division in the Sales Organization, supporting over 2,000 active accouts and growing the revenue from $2B to $5B with a lean team of talented leaders and team members.
Susie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University and an Executive MBA from The University of Texas at Dallas.
