Mike Slone, Travel Principal, PROS

Mike is a recognized leader, frequent speaker, mentor, and an executive consultant on the topics of user experience, digital strategy, and eCommerce, with a focus on the travel industry. Currently a VP, Principal of Travel Retail at PROS, Mike has 20+ years of experience working to improve the Customer experience for airlines by optimizing their digital touchpoints. He’s been an advocate for the travel Customer since the late 90’s, and has learned from working with leading “Customer centric” companies including Southwest Airlines and Vail Resorts. Mike has been fortunate to work with airlines all over the world, traveling to more than 30+ countries and living in France for nearly 10 years.  During his time abroad, Mike has learned to think globally and has adopted an international mentality to digital experience design. Mike credits much of his success to a passion for continuous learning, listening to Customers, and conducting constant research to better understand Customers.

Mike feels extremely lucky to work in the travel industry and explore the world, which has allowed him to experience some of the best food, hotels and activities across the world. Mike’s favorite foods are BBQ in Driftwood, lobster rolls in Kennebunk, wild boar pasta in Limone, rose in Provence, schnitzel in the Dolomites,  Monk fish in Reykjavik, pumpkin steak in Tel Aviv, and Oshi Sushi in Vancouver.
