In 2021 Lars joined the newly founded Sabre Low Cost Carrier Segment Team responsible for the Strategy design and execution. He developed a passion on making data useable for better customer service and more relevant offer creation by airlines. He mainly focuses on airline commercial software like Radixx or Sabre Sonic but is always on the look out how to bring data from different systems together and execute it. He believes that change needs to happen and rather explores new ways then waiting for the mainstream to arrive.
Before Sabre, Lars joined the aviation IT community from the airline side. Lars worked for three PSS vendors, (Mercator Asia (Avantik), WorldTicket (W2, SellmoreSeats) and TravelSky (QUICK PRS)) out of Bangkok and Beijing mainly being in charge of customer facing business units (from Sales to Implementation and ongoing Account Management) and some parts of the product road map.
Prior he was working for German airlines OLT (OL) and Germania (ST) in various roles with operational and administrative/commercial focus. He worked on initial aircraft type phase in projects (first Airbus for Germania), IT projects (PSS systems etc.), commercial business development projects and the set-up of Gambia Bird Airline (GBQ investment by ST) in the Banjul, The Gambia (Africa).
He holds a MSc. from Cranfield University in Aviation Management and considers himself an aviation/airline geek.
