JAN VÁŇA is Director and Head of Airline and Airport Relationships at WheelTug. In his role he manages WheelTug business development with airlines, airports, navigation services, ground handling providers, and maintenance and repair organizations (MROs). A frequent presenter at industry conferences, he also manages the WheelTug agents who are tasked with signing airlines worldwide.
Prior to joining WheelTug, Jan served as a Vice Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic, and on the Board of Directors of Czech Airlines. He was Commercial Director of ABS Jets, the largest business jet company in the new EU countries. As a pilot with the Czech Air Force he was awarded the “Master Wings” commendation, and he is a graduate (Ing.) of the Czechoslovak military academy as well as US Air University, Air Command and Staff College.
