Dimitris Bountolos, Chief Digital Officer, LATAM Airlines

Dimitris is an internationally recognized leader in the transport, aviation, & technology sectors with over 17 years of experience which has fuelled a passion for the digital ecosystem and disruptive innovation driving him to lead several global multi-sector projects.

Today he is the Chief Digital Officer of Latam Airlines the biggest carrier in Latin America where he is in charge of all digital channel from the ideation of new digital products to the maintenance of the infrastructure.

Prior to this role COO & Board Member of Zero 2 Infinity a space transportation company that specializes in satellite micro-launchers and suborbital flights.  He is also a Senior Advisor at the consulting firm McKinsey & Company in the areas of Transport, Travel and Logistics.

Dimitris is a member of the Advisory Board of two emerging technology companies Customerville and Guudjob.  He is also the Founder & Partner of various start-ups specializing in the frontier tech market:  Drones, Virtual Reality, and Customer Experience.

For over 10 years he has held prominent positions in the airline industry working for the IAG Group as their youngest director in differing roles like VP of Customer Experience, and Director of the Madrid Barajas Airport.  He has led cross-functional projects in digital transformation and innovation in all areas of IAG and One World.

Dimitris was the Co-founder and former VP of the Spanish Association of Customer Experience and was elected in 2012 as Director of the Year in Operations & Transportation in Spain.
Dimitris holds a Civil Engineering degree, EMBA, IESE Business School, ESADE. He started his career as a consultant in the public transport sector involved in several international projects in regions like Mexico, Poland, and Afghanistan, supported by their respective governments and international institutions such as the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
He is a regular speaker at business schools, and conferences on diverse topics including customer experience, omni-channel strategies, digital transformation, near space, and corporate innovation.
