Christophe Bousquet, Chief Technology Officer Senior Vice President, Technology Platforms & Shared Capabilities, Amadeus

Christophe Bousquet is the Senior Vice President of the Technology Platforms & Shared Capabilities department and Chief Technology Officer at Amadeus, where he leads the technology strategy across Amadeus’ different business lines. In this role, he is driving company-wide transformation programs such as the move toward an open, data-driven platform leveraging Cloud technology, the implementation of Artificial Intelligence, and the deployment of the SAFe framework and lean-agile mindset. He is as well leading the evolution of Amadeus’ global software architecture, and constantly assessing internal technological capabilities to improve the developer experience and foster innovation.
In 2017, Christophe was appointed Senior Vice President, Airlines Research & Development, becoming a member of the Amadeus Executive Committee. The purpose of this unit was to design and develop the Amadeus Airline Platform: a simple, agile, and open data-driven platform enabling airlines to harness the full power of technology to simplify their business, generate more revenue, reduce IT costs, and most importantly, deliver seamless travel experiences that delight customers.

Christophe previously held the position of VP, Airline IT R&D since 2013. In this capacity he was responsible for Airline IT products such as Altéa Inventory, Altéa Departure Control, e-retail, Amadeus Reservation Desktop, Ticketing Documents & Fulfilment, Revenue Management, Passenger Revenue Accounting, Loyalty and Availability calculation.
Prior to this, Christophe was Vice President - Reservation, Distribution and Mid-Back Office, where he was responsible for GDS development within the Central System, which includes PNR, ticketing and profile functionality for Amadeus GDS, Altéa reservation functionalities including software development and leading the migration of airlines to Altéa, and mid-office / back-office systems.
He became Unit Manager at the end of 1993 and successfully led the offline schedule change and the TPF inventory teams. He was promoted to Manager of the Development Support department in 1998.
Christophe joined Amadeus in 1990 as software engineer and started working in the Availability / Schedule Change Group within the Global Core division. He played a key role in some major projects that have contributed to the success of Amadeus. Prior to joining Amadeus, Christophe worked as a software engineer at Syseca and at Control Data France. He graduated from the French University of Toulouse.
