Christian Novosel, who was born in Germany began his career at The Boston Consulting Group after his studies in Strategy & Organization at the University of St. Gallen. At BCG he was responsible for various business transformation projects in different industries. In 2010, Christian was appointed Director Financial Planning at JetBlue Airways where he was responsible for the company wide strategic cost containment. In 2011, Christian became Head of Strategy and Investments at Lufthansa where he headed different strategic projects such as the establishment of a holistic management information framework or the introduction of the premium economy class at LH. In spring 2016, Christian took over the Corporate Development Department of Austrian Airlines where he is responsible for the strategic execution, corporate project management and business intelligence of the Vienna based airline. In 2017, Christian founded the Strategic Business Intelligence Initiative fostering data-driven management across all Lufthansa Group’s business units. Christian Novosel is married and has two children.
