Catherine Luelo was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer in August 2017, with overall responsibility for the Information Technology Systems supporting and enabling Air Canada's business. Air Canada is the flag carrier and the largest airline of Canada by fleet size and passengers carried.
Catherine's duties include strategic oversight, innovation and implementation, and ensuring the security of Air Canada's operational, commercial, customer service and administrative information systems. Catherine leads the corporations’ technology transformation including work to technically support the delivery of Air Canada’s customer loyalty program, following Air Canada’s 2018 shared acquisition of Aeroplan from Aimia.
Prior to joining Air Canada, Catherine worked at Enbridge Inc., where she held the position of Chief Information Officer and, prior to that, Vice President, Information Technology. She previously served in several key senior management roles at major Canadian companies, including Vice President, Distribution at WestJet Airlines Ltd. and Director of Sales at TELUS Communications.
Catherine has an MBA from Athabasca University in Alberta and a BSc from University of Alberta, Canada.
