Justin Giddings became CEO of Avalon Airport in December 2008. Previously Justin was the Commercial and Operations Manager at Essendon Airport for 7 years. Avalon Airport is a busy airport, and since commencing as CEO Avalon negotiated with Tiger Airways to commence domestic operations, resigned a new 8 airshow agreement and is continuing to pursue international endeavours. Prior to the last Commonwealth election both the Labor Party and the Coalition endorsed Avalon to become Victoria’s second international airport. Recently the State Government announced it would commence construction of a new rail link to Avalon within the first term of Government. Furthermore, the State Government has also committed to contributing towards establishing a fuel pipeline direct to Avalon. Justin is a fully qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, has a Diploma of Management, a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Economics and Accounting and a Masters of Business Administration.
