Mr James Mueller | VP Atlantic and Pacific Sales

Jim Mueller is Vice President Asia/Pacific for United, the world’s leading airline. In this role, Mueller serves as the company’s chief commercial representative in the Asia/Pacific region. He is responsible for the sales and marketing for the Pacific network and is based at the company's offices in Tokyo, Japan. Mueller joined United in 2009 to lead the customer solutions team, responsible for managing post-travel customer issues. Before joining United, Mueller spent 15 years at Northwest Airlines serving most recently as Vice President of Global Cargo Sales, where he was responsible for the division's global sales and marketing. He also served in a variety of other leadership positions at Northwest, with responsibilities in revenue management, pricing, alliances and sales. During his time at Northwest, Mueller was previously stationed in Asia, where he was responsible for commercial, administrative and operational activity in the Pacific region. Mueller holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor of arts degree in economics from St. John's University. He is married with one daughter.
