Jamie Almeida, Biologist, N.I.S.T. - National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Jamie Almeida is a Biologist in the Biosystems and Biomaterials Division at NIST. Her work focuses on developing standards to improve measurement accuracy and diagnostic reliability in healthcare. Jamie currently co-leads the Gene Delivery Systems Working Group within the Flow Cytometry Standards Consortium, coordinating stakeholder engagement and leading interlaboratory studies with the goal of improving measurement assurance in both viral and non-viral delivery systems.  She also plays a key role in international and national consensus standards development, contributing to efforts within the ISO Technical Committee 276 on Biotechnology. She has co-led the development of a Gene Delivery Systems document series to standardize terminology and methods for quantification of viral vectors and lipid nanoparticles.
