The market has changed considerably since the first awards in 1999 and the relationship between operators and vendors has been and continues to be redrawn. To reflect this, the categories presented are changed every year and now reflect the latest trends of 5G, AI, transformation, NFV and IoT as well as the traditional awards such as global and wholesale operator.
Organised by Total Telecom, we use our position at the centre of the market to understand its heartbeat and focus on the ongoing strength of the WCA by delivering an awards programme characterised by the independence and impartiality of our extensive judging panel and our ability to ensure the Awards resonate with the most senior executives in the industry.
The World Communication Awards are far more than the awards dinner, they are an annual programme that launches in March and which runs for a full twelve months. Throughout this period, we work hard to ensure maximum exposure for the WCA, the participants and the partners who support the programme through an extensive marketing and editorial programme.
For 2018, we timed the World Communication Awards dinner to coincide with our influential Total Telecom Congress , and, across the two events, more than 900 senior industry executives were in attendance. This is a trend that we will continue for 2019.
