Website launch of the year

 

Open to: All customer facing brands operating in the Middle East, Central and South Asia and North Africa. 

The Middle East will be defined by the following countries for the purpose of the award - GCC countries (to include Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates), Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Palestine Territories and Turkey. 

Central and South Asia will be defined by the following countries for the purpose of the award - Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

North Africa will be defined by the following countries for the purpose of the award - Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mali, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia, Libya and Mauritania.

About this category:  

This award will recognise the brand that has successfully launched a website or carried out a website relaunch since January 2017. This could be a retailer launching online for the first time, a new ecommerce platform, a bank launching a revamped online solution, a B2B platform, etc. 


The judges will look specifically for a successful pre-launch campaign, the level of web traffic, the number of converted customers, the customer experience, usability, business sales and sustainability.  

 

Criteria: 

Entrants will be judged on their answers to the following questions: (Answers to each question will be cut off after 250 words) 

  1. Name your website and provide a link 
  2. When was your website launched and how many site visits have you had since
  3. What are the 3 unique benefits of your website in comparison to that of your competitors 
  4. How did you build hype pre-launch? 
  5. Describe the testing strategy of your website pre-launch. How did you ensure there would be a seamless user experience from the day of the launch? 
  6. What is your conversion rate of visits to customers (Use figures / percentages)
  7. Discuss your discovery and search tactics 
  8. Describe how your site is accessible and responsive across all channels
  9. Describe the impact on your business (ROI) of the new website launch (Use figures / percentages)
