Mark A. Emalfarb is the founder and CEO of Dyadic, as well as a member of its Board of Directors. Since founding Dyadic in 1979, he has led its transformation from producing ingredients for stone-washing jeans to developing and commercializing specialty enzymes and the proprietary C1 fungal technology platform. An inventor with over 25 biotechnology patents, Mr. Emalfarb has also forged strategic research, development, and marketing partnerships globally. He holds a B.A. from the University of Iowa (1977) and brings decades of industry expertise to his leadership role.
