The internet has facilitated a globalization of safety concerns as a consequence of a globalization of vaccine marketing. Increasingly, there is a trend for new vaccines to be introduced early or even first in developing countries.  Over the next decade, Caitlin Dodd predicts that many more vaccines will be introduced into LMIC. International collaboration is needed for effective global vaccine distribution. A good example of effective international collaboration is the success of the introduction of the Meningitis vaccine in Burkina Faso.
