Amelia Sequeira has 32 years’ experience in Human Capital Management.  She is currently Human Capital Executive for Nu Metro cinemas responsible for the HR strategy and the full HR function from recruitment to payroll.  Prior to that she owned Orbs People solutions (HR consulting and recruitment agency) and was one of the first franchisees for Map4Life that focused on coaching and development of Self-leadership.  She also headed up the HR department of an international e-Commerce company for 10 years.  Throughout her career she has started up the HR departments in 3 different companies over a 15 year period. She has worked for 22 years in Executive HR roles (Generalist).  As far as industries are concerned, 10 years were spent in semi-government to privatization (85 – 95);  15 years in IT and E-commerce (95 – 10);  4 years in HR consulting (10 – 14); and her current passion – the movie industry, since April 14.
Amelia completed her BA Honours (Psychology) degree with UNISA in 2009 and have several qualifications with regards to Human Resources including an Advanced Human Resource Strategic Program (2007) through the UNISA Centre for Business Management
