Tobias Cossen, Head of Project “Support to the Up-scaling of Wind Power”, GIZ

Tobias Cossen joined the ESP in November, 2016. He is the Principal Technical Advisor / Head of Project of two on-going projects: Support to the Up-Scaling of Wind Power in Vietnam (DKTI) and the Renewable Energy Project Development Programme (PDP). Prior to GIZ in Viet Nam, he worked for the PDP at GIZ headquarters for four years, supporting business partnerships between German and local companies and the implementation of reference projects in Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan-Africa.

After studying energy economics with a focus on Latin America in Cologne/Germany, Tobias Cossen joined in 2009 the juwi group, a German renewable energy project developer with an international focus. He was responsible for the establishment of the regional office for Central America and Caribbean in Costa Rica and for the development of the regional wind energy portfolio. In 2011 he returned to juwi headquarters to the Marketing & Acquisition department, responsible for the international markets including cross-technology projects and out-of-FiT business models.
