Dr Thomas Gyedu-Ababio has a PhD in Water Resources Science. He has 28 years’ work experience (eight as a science educator and 20 in water resource and aquatic biodiversity management). Thomas worked for Rand Water for six years managing the Vaal Dam Catchment before joining South African National Parks as a water resources manager in the Kruger National Park (KNP). After 10 years in the KNP, he joined the ICMA in April 2013. He is now the CEO of the IUCMA. As an experienced water resources manager, he has a wealth of knowledge in pollution control, capacity building, stakeholder engagement and environmental education. Apart from his management duties, Thomas takes time to do research/academic work in the field of water. Thomas has over 10 peer reviewed publications in water resources management.
