Adrian Swift is one of Australias most experienced media executives covering everything from newspapers to television, terrestrial to multi-channel, production to senior board level executive responsibility. Along with two partners, Adrian founded and sits on the board of etv, the UKs top branded media, production and strategy company. He has built the business into one of Britains top 30 independent production outfits with over 100 staff. In his time at etv, Adrian has worked with some of the worlds biggest broadcasters, brands and their agencies to develop digital content and strategy across broadcast television, digital television, the internet and mobile. Along the way, he launched the UKs first branded TV channel for Thomas Cook, created London TV, the first broadband city channel, and produced Britains most popular mobile TV show for the 3 network. In his 10 years in the UK, Adrian has developed a comprehensive understanding of the multi-channel environment. He has launched 8 channels on satellite, cable and digital terrestrial platforms for clients including Time Warner and Thomas Cook where he both created original content and acquired programming. He was head of development and interactivity for Mirror Television, the newspaper group that had five channels across the UKs cable systems. Prior to working in the UK, Adrian spent many years in both commercial and public television in Australia. He has two stints at SBS, first as a news and current affairs journalist and later as Executive Producer of Sport where he acquired the Australian rights to the Tour de France. He worked at the Nine Network for many years as both a presenter and producer before joining Getaway as its founding producer and later Executive Producer.
