For UAS-based laser scanning RIEGL provides the survey-grade LiDAR sensor VUX-1UAV. The scanner is ultra-compact, lightweight and mountable in any orientation - tailored for platforms with limited weight, space and supply power for pay load. The LiDAR sensor employs echo signal digitization and online waveform processing, and offers a 330° Field of View, 10 mm accuracy, a measurement rate of up to 550 kHz, as well as a fast scan speed with up to 200 scans/sec, operating in Laser Class 1.
Additionally RIEGL provides the RiCOPTER, RIEGL’s ready-to-fly remotely piloted high-performance X8 array octocopter. The Class 1 UAV offers a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) of 25 kg with 16 kg available for payload and a flight endurance with max. payload of more than 30 minutes.
Equipped with the RIEGL VUX-SYS comprising the VUX-1UAV LiDAR sensor, IMU/GNSS unit with antenna, control unit, and optional cameras, a fully-integrated miniaturized Airborne Laser Scanning System for surveying is offered. The system provides a 230° Field of View, an effective measurement rate of up to 350,000 measurements/sec, a max. range of 550m.
