As a mobile payments leader in Asia, Chris heads Samsung Pay for Southeast Asia & Oceania at Samsung Electronics, overseeing regional and local teams to drive regional expansion and product roadmap for value added services. Taking on this leadership role for Samsung Pay has been a natural progression from years of seasoned experience leading and managing Samsung's regional mobile content & services team, covering every aspect of mobile apps & services
Before coming to Singapore, Chris spent over 4 years in Samsung’s Korean headquarters working within the Global Strategy Group advising senior executives across Samsung Group companies and the Media Solution Center leading global business development for Samsung’s first global messaging service, which became Samsung ChatON.
Prior to Samsung, Chris worked with high tech start-ups and leading innovative corporations in the US. During these years, he established and led the software team for MIT Startup, SensAble Technologies, where he was the architect for the company’s core software products and pioneered key innovations in the fields of robotics and 3D visualisation with 2 patents in robotics field of haptics.
Chris holds an MBA from leading graduate business school, INSEAD and is an alumnus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he holds a Bachelor degree in Software Development.
